Serving Homebound People of All Ages and Incomes
No matter why a person is homebound - chronic illness, frailty, disability, recent surgery or other physical or mental health issues they have two major difficulties: poor nutrition and isolation. Meals on Wheels West helps prevent both by Delivering More Than a Meal to homebound people of all ages and incomes.
Our friendly calls and in-person Wellness Checks alleviate loneliness while monitoring health and wellness. Homebound residents of Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, who are unable to shop or cook for themselves are eligible. Who We Serve
Torrance-Lomita Meals on Wheels serves a geographic area which is: Anza Avenue on the West; Redondo Beach Boulevard on the North; Palos Verdes Drive North on the South; Western Avenue on the East.
Torrance-Lomita Meals on Wheels delivers nourishing meals to home-bound members of our communities. Meals on Wheels is a service for anyone unable to prepare or shop for a nutritious meal, regardless of reason.
Our purpose is to supply nourishing meals at a minimum cost to people unable to cook, drive, shop, or leave their home for an extended period of time. Our meals are prepared and made at the St. Vincent’s Meals on Wheels located in Los Angeles. Click on the link below to check out a sample menu!
